Easy Crib Sheet Tutorial

Posted

When I started sewing a few years ago, I underestimated my ability to make certain things. I limited myself to small sewing projects that never went past the "beginner" level. Little did I know, that with even basic sewing skills, there were SO many things I could make myself. I read a lot of tutorials, watched many videos, and self-taught myself to step out of my comfort zone and make designer-like decor for my home and kids.

And the crib sheet was one of those things. I was intimidated at first, but after learning the steps, it was SO easy to make! You can make several in different patterns for your babies and kids or give as gifts. Handmade is the way to go! If you have a toddler, the pattern is the same for a toddler bed (if you're using a crib mattress). You can add a small pillowcase and matching blanket to complete the set.

When I opened my fabric shop, I wanted to inspire women to try new things they thought were impossible. Handmade items have a price (which I can understand that!), and stores are selling designer crib sheets for $ 40-50. Save the extra $ 20 by making your own.

Read below for the steps to make your own crib sheet. I used Michael Miller Plucked for my daughter's room. I love the bright colors and different variations in each feather. And it looks great in her white crib. You can order this fabric here from my online fabric store. I hope this tutorial will lead you to try news things and let out your creative side. We all have one, and everything is worth trying!

Be blessed,

Michelle
